SPICE GIRLS CROWNED ICONS

The Spice Girls were the toast of the 95.8 Capital Awards today, when they picked up the coveted Icon Award. Emma and Melanie C attended the ceremony to collect their trophy, and they told thespicegirls.com: “We’re really proud to be at the Capital Awards to support Help A London Child. It’s really special to receive this award after all these years and be recognised by the industry for our achievements.”

SPICE GIRLS ADD GLAMOUR

The Spice Girls won Best Band at the Glamour Awards last night, and Emma, Geri and Mel B were there to receive their prize. The Girls proved once again that no one does Girl Power quite like the Spice Girls.

After picking up the award Geri said, “Its a real honour to receive this award , particularly as its voted for by the readers. We really would like to thank all of our loyal fans out there”

The girls thoroughly enjoyed the evening, catching up with old friends and new, including Heroes star Hayden Panettiere who told Emma that she was a big fan of the Spice Girls. Mel B rounded off the evening by saying a big thank you to the Spice Girls and revealed that they would be friends forever.

U.K. Glamour Of The Year Awards Kate Beckinsale, Spice Girls

London, England (CNS) - Kate Beckinsale, the Spice Girls, and others have been honored at the U.K. Glamour of the Year Award Tuesday night, with Mark Ronson the only male to pick up an accolade.

Beckinsale picked up the Film Actress of the Year at the ceremony held in Carnegie Hall in London, while the Spice Girls got the Band of the Year.

Supermodel Kate Moss was handed out the Entrepreneur of the Year award, Lily Allen won the Editor's Special's Award and Kelly Osbourne, who made her Chicago West End debut, was named Theater Actress of the Year.

Grammy Award-winning producer and artist Mark Ronson, the only non-female to win, was crowned Man of the Year.
